Charlie Hedley

Charlie Hedley was a pioneering rugby league champion. Playing for Glebe in 1908, he was selected to tour with the first Kangaroos. Upon returning to Australia, the fullback switched to Annandale, playing 23 games for the ‘Dales over two seasons.

HEDLEY.—August 13, 1942 [suddenly], Charles, beloved husband of Millie Hedley, of 34 Gladstone Street, Leichhardt, and loving father of Robert and Kath, aged 61 years.
