The Dry Dock Hotel

The Dry Dock Hotel is Balmain's oldest standing hotel and began the story of six-time premiership-winner and Balmain champion, Charles 'Chook' Fraser. 

Donald Fraser was a seaman and based in Sydney with Kate Fraser relocating from Adelaide in 1884 to be closer to her husband and secured lodgings at the hotel before they found their home at 28 Short Street where 'Chook' was born in 1893.
