The 1994 movie Sirens, starring Hugh Grant, Elle Macpherson and Sam Neill, was mostly filmed at artist Norman Lindsay's home at this location. While shooting the film in 1993, supermodel Macpherson, 'The Body', travelled to Caltex Field to celebrate Andrew Ettingshausen's 200th game while the club was experimenting with 'Saturday night' home games. Macpherson is the daughter of former long-time boss of the Sharks, businessman Peter Gow.
