"Fatty"

The legendary Paul Vautin was first dubbed 'Fatty' on his first night at training at Brookvale Oval after transferring from Brisbane as a youngster. Manly club legend and reserve grade coach Fred Jones, smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer at training, headed toward Vautin and said, "who is this Fatty?"
