Super Bowl-winning Oakland Raiders running back was an eye-raising signing for the Newtown Jets in 1977. The American was brought to Australia by advertising mogul John Singleton with Moore playing five first grade games. At half-time of his debut game, Moore wowed the crowd by gridiron-passing a football over the old King George V grandstand.
